CAN I DIRECT BILL TO MY HEALTH BENEFITS?

No, unfortunately I am not set up to direct bill to your insurance provider.

WILL I EXPERIENCE PAIN DURING THE MASSAGE?

We will chat ahead of time to determine how much pressure you require.  Generally a therapeutic massage involves some pressure, whereas a relaxation massage involves a lighter touch.  The massage treatment will be catered to your specific needs.  Deep pressure does not always equate to pain.  If you experience pain or discomfort for any reason, we will identify the problem and adjust accordingly.  You, the client, are empowered to make changes during the massage.  Feedback during the treatment is crucial to delivering you to your goal.

HOW MUCH DOES EACH TREATMENT COST?

Please refer to the "Treatments" page for pricing and details.

DO YOU OFFER COUPLES MASSAGE?

Yes, couples massage is a popular option for busy parents and couples alike.  The format for this service is one right after the other, not both at the same time.  Please view the "Treatments" page for more information.

WHAT IS CUPPING?  DOES IT HURT OR LEAVE A BRUISE?

Cupping is a treatment that dates back into early Middle Eastern and Chinese Medicine practices.  Practitioners found that when they adhered cups onto the skin, it helped promote healing, aided in circulation and helped remove toxins from the body.  There are a few different styles of cupping.  The cupping that I integrate into the massage is not like a traditional cupping treatment.  I use silicone cups to help compliment a deeper therapeutic value of the massage.  I move the cups along the surface of the skin to help break down fascia adhesions, improve circulation and help stretch muscles.

Most clients notice some tightness and a sticky sensation on the skin when the cups are first used.  I can adjust the depth on how tight the cups are stuck to your skin.  Once your skin has adjusted to the suction, the tightness feeling dissipates.  As for marking or bruising of the skin - the marks that are left from the cups are better known as "hickeys".  Every person reacts a bit differently.  The length of time the cups are left on the skin, how sensitive your skin is and how tight the cups are - all play into how long a mark might be left on the skin.  Few people don't see any residual marking, but most people have their cupping marks last between 4-6 days.

Cupping promotes blood flow and helps break down fascia tension. These are two major agents in helping injuries and tight muscles heal more effectively and efficiently.
